NON-PROFIT CENSUS 2010 ENDORSEMENT REQUEST BY DENVER CENSUS 2010
The Alliance supports the Denver Census 2010 and is requesting your organization’s endorsement of this important effort.
The goal of the Census is to count every person who lives in the United Sates to determine how the community is changing and its needs. Approximately $435 billion in federal funding is distributed to communities each year and the Census data guides the amount of money to benefit many programs in the community such as education, Head Start, health services, unemployment insurance and youth recreation services, to name a few.
Please support these efforts by signing this letter of support and emailing it to Martha Rodriguez.
Along with the letter, we ask that your organization do all or some of the following:
1) Encourage your clients, constituents, donors and supporters to participate in the 2010 Census
2) Promote the 2010 Census in your newsletters, website and other publications
3) Support the goals and ideals of the 2010 Census
4) Promote the safety and confidentiality of the Census
5) Agree to be listed as a Nonprofit Endorser of the 2010 Census
6) Participate in a Census Nonprofit Conference on Friday, January 8
Complete and accurate census data is critical to our ability to serve the Denver community. It helps us identify our population and their needs, and it allows us to secure federal funding to help meet those needs.
Remember, the Census only takes 10 minutes and is easy, safe and confidential.
